The extension does nothing
The extension signs in with a token. In OpenJobs, open Settings, then Browser extension, and make a token. Paste it into the extension popup and press Save. OpenJobs shows a token once, so make a new one if you lost it. A revoked token stops working at once.
The extension fills only applications you approved whose 10 second undo window has passed. Dry run is on until you turn it off, so it stops before submit.
An application is held
A held application shows the field and the reason. Fix the answer in the drawer, or add the fact to your profile, then press Fix and recheck. When one empty question holds many applications, the board asks it once above the columns and rechecks all of them.
A form does not fill
The extension fills public forms on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Jobvite, BambooHR, Rippling, Recruitee, Teamtailor and Breezy, and Workday once you are signed in. On Workday, sign in to the employer's own Workday account in Chrome, then press Fill next again; OpenJobs never creates an account or signs in for you. A captcha, a sign-in page or a question that asks applicants not to use automation stops the extension. OpenJobs holds the application for you.
Recruiter email does not connect
Recruiter email connects with a Gmail app password. The Gmail app password guide walks through it in five steps.
- Recruiter email needs a paid plan, because it uses an AI.
- Turn on 2-Step Verification on your Google account, then make an app password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords.
- Paste the 16-letter app password, not your Google password, in Settings, Recruiter email.
- Some work and school Google accounts do not allow app passwords. Use a personal Gmail account instead.
Billing and cancelling
Open Settings, then Plan and billing, then Manage billing. Stripe opens its own page, where you change your card, see invoices or cancel. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Your data
The privacy policy says what OpenJobs stores and how to export it. To delete everything, open Settings, then Account, then Delete my account. Deleting removes your profile, searches, jobs, applications, recruiter email, extension tokens and resume files, and you cannot undo it.
