Tailor a resume from your experience bank

Write down what you actually did once. Then tailor each application from those entries, keeping the source of every line visible.

Start with evidence you can reuse

Open the Experience bank. For each role, record the company, title and dates, then add achievements and stories under that role. Include your part in the work and the result you can support.

Keep numbers with the entry they describe. If you cannot support an exact percentage, describe the result without inventing one.

  1. 1Add a role and a short summary of your responsibilities.
  2. 2Add achievements and stories under that role, including the numbers you can verify.
  3. 3Review skills and your headline so the bank describes your current experience.

Tailor to one posting

AI tailoring and drafted answers require a paid plan and your configured model. You can prepare and review the experience bank before requesting an AI-generated version.

Open an application from Today and choose Tailor from your bank. Compare What the posting asks for with the tailored resume and its supporting bank entries. Keep gaps visible; a requested skill is not evidence that you have it.

  1. 1A covered requirement. Each one names the bank entries that answer it.
  2. 2A gap stays visible. A requested skill is not evidence that you have it.
  3. 3The source chip. Every tailored line names the entry it came from. Open it.
  4. 4The original entry. Check employer, dates and numbers. The story says the platform team fixed the outage, so the line claims only the updates.
  5. 5Separate steps. Tailoring sends nothing. The employer form gets its own review.

Read each line beside its source

Open the source chips beside the tailored resume and drafted answers. Check titles, dates, employers and numbers against the original entry. Keep the distinction between contributing to a result and owning it.

Tailoring and sending are separate steps. A tailored document still needs your review, and the employer form has its own review before submission.

When the bank does not answer a requirement

If relevant experience is missing from the bank, record what actually happened and tailor again. If you do not have the experience, leave the gap visible.

Check the final file and application answers together before approving. The review-before-submit guide explains held answers and rechecks; the dry-run guide explains the boundary between preparing an application and sending it.
