A job board keeps one resume. OpenJobs keeps your whole career in one bank.

Job board

A job board stores one resume and a profile form. Every application sends the same file.

OpenJobs

OpenJobs stores your whole career once. It writes a new resume and new answers for each application.

You can browse the job catalog for free without an account.

OpenJobs drafts recruiter email replies from your bank.

Prepare and Daily connect Gmail. OpenJobs drafts a reply to each recruiter email, and sends nothing until you approve it.

  1. OpenJobs sorts the inbox.

It reads recruiter email in your Gmail without marking anything read, and sorts each message as a role pitch, a screening, scheduling or a rejection.

  2. OpenJobs drafts the reply.

Each draft uses your salary range, your start date and the experience bank entries that match the role.

  3. You approve it.

The reply is sent in the same Gmail thread after you approve it. You can undo it for 10 seconds.

Questions

What can I do for free?

Browse technical jobs without an account. Sign in to save jobs and named searches, build your experience bank, design your master resume and keep drafts. Pay or seniority that a listing leaves out stays unknown.

What is the experience bank?

A private record of your whole career. It holds roles, achievements, stories, headlines, summaries, projects, schools and skills, plus a notebook for anything else. Import a resume to start. You approve each notebook passage before OpenJobs uses it.

What does the master resume do?

It shows your resume in the template and colour you pick and downloads it as a PDF. Click a bullet to include it in every tailored resume, or to keep its exact words.

How does OpenJobs tailor a resume?

For each job, OpenJobs picks and rewords the bank lines that the job asks for. Your roles, titles and dates stay as they are. Each requirement in the posting shows the bank entries that cover it, or says that none does yet.

Where do the application questions come from?

OpenJobs reads the questions on supported public employer forms, or you paste them one per line. Paid preparation drafts each answer from your bank. Conditional questions can still appear on the employer form.

Can tailoring invent experience?

Preparation uses only your approved bank entries. Automated checks can miss an error, so read and correct every line before you use it.

Does OpenJobs submit applications?

No. You copy each answer, download the resume, open the employer application and submit it yourself. Then you can mark the draft as applied.

Does editing or copying spend a pack?

No. Editing, copying, downloading and opening a prepared pack again are free. A new preparation uses one pack from your plan.

Does saving a job apply for me?

No. Saving and searching never create or send an application. A draft starts only when you choose Prepare in your workspace.
